A whole wave of LEGO Fortnite sets are rumored for October 2024

A full wave of LEGO Fortnite sets is rumored to be on the way in October, nearly a year after the game mode was initially removed.

LEGO Fortnite’s survival craft mode launched in December 2023, with small buildable loot llamas (which weren’t readily available for purchase) being the only sign of a physical connection. But Instagram user maxbaude now claims that five LEGO Fortnite sets and a gift with purchase will arrive in October 2024, nearly a year after the game’s launch.

The versions will be priced between €29.99 and €119.99, while one of them – the 77072 Peely Bone, priced at €59.99 – will be an 18+ model. He’s one of two buildable characters in the mix, Maxboutday says, though it’s unclear whether the other he’s referring to is the 77071 loot llama or one of the other three mystery sets.

For now, the only other clue to the box’s contents is the German word “gastrichen” attached to 77074, the largest wave model. It translates into a few different words, but in this context it seems more likely to mean “painted”, which…still doesn’t give us much to go on. It could also mean “canceled”, suggesting that this set was planned but was finished, which would explain why it doesn’t have a release date like the others.

The other four sets are said to be available alongside a LEGO Fortnite gift with purchase from October 1, suggesting that The LEGO Group is hoping to encourage purchases with a themed gift on day one. This also looks like a pretty big gift, weighing in at 151 coins. Details including its eligible costs are yet to be confirmed.

In fact, nothing here should be considered confirmed until it’s actually announced by the LEGO Group. If the October release date is correct, it could still be a long way off. Check out all the details we have so far in the table below.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first and a LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism runs through my veins, though, like a strange kind of literary blood—the kind that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced art defect. It’s like smoking, only worse. Luckily, I can write about LEGO until then.
