This is a major investment in cancer treatment. As of Tuesday February 6, 2024, the Radiotherapy Center, established for almost 40 years on the premises of the Pont de Chaume Clinic in Tarn-et-Garonne, will integrate brand new buildings.

This move of about a hundred meters will change everything for patients and teams. From a cramped, dimly lit space located on the clinic’s ground floor, the structure will now benefit from a larger, brighter and more welcoming space.

Working with the architect since 2019 on this project, we took care to carefully choose materials with very warm wood veneers, light natural colors for the walls and optimized the penetration of natural light inside the building. , manager of the Orion group. Every year, about 1,000 new patients come to this Montalban center for treatment of local regional cancer. Radiotherapy uses radiation to kill cancer cells by blocking their ability to multiply. As every day counts in the treatment, activity will continue through mid-March at the old and new sites.

A budget of 15 million euros was invested in the project, led by the Orion group, which is already established at the Pasteur Clinic and which has four medical oncology sites in the Toulouse metropolis. In total, 21 doctors and 110 employees are part of the structure. The Montalban site reflects the group’s ambition to bring radiotherapy closer to the growing community.
