Snack trays sold at megastores were recalled due to a salmonella outbreak
At least Two dozen people in 14 states became ill, including five who were hospitalized, from salmonella poisoning linked to meat snack trays sold at some Sam’s Club stores. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said on Friday.
New Jersey meat processing company Fratelli Beretta USA recalled this week Over 11,000 pounds of Bussetto Foods brand finished sausage meat products, Because they can be contaminated with salmonella.
The meat tray with lot number LO75330300 is labeled “Bussetto Food Charcuterie Sampler Prosciutto, Sweet Sopressata and Dry Coppa”. and a closing date of 27 April. They have EST establishment number. 7543B within USDA inspection mark and EST. #47967 on packaging.
These illnesses were reported between November 20 and December 18, 2023. Salmonella infections can be dangerous for young children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems.
According to the CDC, consumers should check if the products are in their refrigerator and return or throw them away at the point of purchase.
