The specialized service for the protection of children and adolescents in Chubla organized a regional meeting, which was attended by children and adolescents from boarding schools and programs in the region.
The event, which took place at the Adventist University of Chile, attracted a large number of visitors, and representatives of the El Carmen and Chillan spaces were able to develop the methodological work proposed by the Service Participation Group.
Alwayai, Regional Director of Virginia Protective Services, was encouraged by the work being done. “We believe in the participation and active listening of children and adolescents, in addition to being one of the fundamental rights, to be heard, and that is why they already have the authority to be present in the regional protection commission and in participation meetings where they can develop specific projects for work, for example, issues focused on mental health,” he noted,
It should be noted that at the last meetings and on the national day, priority was given to Ñuble, which is to develop a book and comics with illustrations on mental health issues, which are expected to be completed by the end of the year.
