Dolly Parton, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr unite for cover of “Let It Be”

(CNN) — The solo country music icon Dolly Parton can achieve will bring Beatles legends Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr back together again to record a new interpretation of one of their band’s most iconic songs.
Parton premiered a version of the hit 1970 Beatles song “Let It Be” this July. It is the most recent single from his next rock album, “Rockstar”, and the song features both McCartney and Starr.
“I was so proud to be able to sing a song like ‘Let It Be’ with Paul McCartney,” Dolly said on an episode of Talk Shop Live this July, adding that McCartney sang and played piano and Starr played the drums.
Legendary rock singer and guitarist Peter Frampton and Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac also appear on the star-studded runway.
