Modern Warfare 3 may include classic maps from the series

Activision has hinted that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will feature many of the series’ classic multiplayer maps. This is exciting news for fans who are looking forward to one of the biggest games of the year. The leak suggests that all 16 multiplayer maps from Modern Warfare 2 could be included in the game.
By sending a text message with the name of each map, players will receive confirmation of their presence in the game. The leaked screenshot shows pinned locations for highly revered maps such as Highrise, Terminal, Rust, Underpass, Wasteland, Quarry, Favela, and Rundown.
If this turns out to be true, players will have access to a massive amount of cards that haven’t been seen in over a decade. It is worth noting that the previous part of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 did not include the maps of its predecessor. Instead, it featured the original multiplayer maps as well as spiritual successors to the classic arenas.
The decision was unexpected considering Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s 2020 revamped campaign did improve on the story mode but didn’t include the multiplayer maps that made the original game so popular. By contrast, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, released four years earlier, included a multiplayer component.
An official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 event is scheduled for later today, where we can learn more about the game and if all classic maps will indeed be included. For console gamers, having one of the best Xbox controllers or one of the best PS5 controllers will help you stay competitive in the game.
