(CNN Español) — Las mujeres — y tambien muchos hombres — vivimos enamoradas de los zapatos. it is fact. Tacos, sandals and boots fascinate, mesmerize and allure us in equal measure. And, since the world is the world through history, humans have had an absolute fascination with shoes.
And if you go to any museum that has a department of costume history, you’ll see that there are shoes from the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, with the most sympathetic, very fanciful designs, with tacones — and screens and Shiny pearls– which were used by both men and women. And even though they look quite rude and uncomfortable, those characters sacrifice themselves to be fashionable, and with them they walk the elaborate pasillos of these great palaces and forts. For example, King Louis XIV of France was a great “fan” of tacón zapatos, as was Queen Maria Antoinette, who had an infinite number of pairs in beautiful pastel colors.
And after reading and viewing many photos of the wonderful “coffee table book” sized book “Cult Heels: Exceptional Talent in Shoe Design” (“Culto a los Tacones: Talentos Excepionales en el Diseño de Zapatos”), the essential luxury footwear for And for its history lovers, written by renowned Peruvian fashion journalist Ursula Carranza, I share with you the vast array of Spanish-born talents – who have contributed (and continue to contribute!) to this important part of the fashion industry. And in addition to the famous Spanish designers who stand out the most — such as Spaniard Manolo Blahnik, Colombian Edgardo Osorio of the Aquazura brand, and Stuart Weitzman’s designer Puerto Rican Edmundo Castillo — there are a range of very talented designers doing what they do in Latin America. that will be competition

very successful breeders, such as Adriana Appelboim-Levy, designer from Alepel, Venezuela (whose Zapatillas Llevan are famously known as Camila Cabello and Ariel Winter); Andrea Gomez from Venezuela (who has very prestigious models); Flor de Maria Rivera (a favorite of many celebrities like Kylie Jenner, Megan Fox, and Jenna Ortega) from the Flor de Maria de Peru brand; Jessica Buttrich from Peru (super imaginative, fun and great quality shoes); Laura Cepeda, brand L. from Cepeda de Colombia (inspired by the culture and colors of the Caribbean); and the very sophisticated Adriana Abascal, designer of Maison Scorpios de México, based in Paris.
These shoes – without a doubt – make us feel more attractive, taller, slimmer and have more “presence”. It’s almost a magical thing to have some shoes that make us feel good! At one time I remember they were quite boring in coffee, black, beige or white, but today they come in all the colors of the rainbow and in all possible ways and styles. Piesen in Louboutin’s Suellas Rojas, Ferragamo’s Disenos Locos, Versace’s Zapatones, YSL’s Los, Fendi’s Los. It’s all very exciting world!

Furthermore – and this is important – there has been a constant “turning backwards” in Zapatos’ design. And now we’re using shoes like these big platforms from the 70s tacos they call zapatacones, just like the sandals and transparent vinyl shoes that existed in the 50s, ¡y están de nuevo de moda ! That is why it is very difficult for people to take off their shoes as a gift, because every day they wear more than a while ago.
Lo mismo pasa con las botas. When they came from the brand Stuart Weitzman – whose designer is Puerto Rican Edmundo Castillo – models all over the world wore them. And now these new shoes are in fashion. And on Beyoncé’s world tour, the brand has been new to Stuart Weitzman (with the hand of Castillo), who designed the stunning shoes the singer wore to the shows. These may be similar to 30 years ago, but now they come in vibrant colors and glitter.
In short: We’re obsessed with shoes, especially those dreamy shoes that make us feel fabulously candid and confident. As the hero of great adventures!
