Tory Lanez is sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion

Last year, a Los Angeles jury found Canadian rapper Tory Lanez guilty, whose official name is Daystar Shmuel Shua Peterson, has three positions in his contract Gun on female rapper Megan Thee Stallion.

The three charges for which he pleaded guilty were: a felony count of negligent discharge of a firearm, assault with a semi-automatic firearm, and possession of a loaded and unregistered weapon. Eight months later, a judge shared his sentence.

Law & Crime senior West Coast reporter Meghan Cunniff reports Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion.

According to Cuniff, Tory spoke for several minutes. “I say you still care about Megan. It’s called “someone who still cares for me a lot”, regardless of what she would think of him”Reporter shared.

Lenz wrote about the shooting: “Say some very immature things that I shouldn’t have said. It reveals some secrets that I shouldn’t have revealed.”

The sentencing hearing began on Monday. Even though Megan did not speak in person, she sent a statement which was read aloud by District Attorney Cathy Ta. Ella says that since Tory shot her, “I have never experienced a single day of work alone”. Megan says mercy is for those who show remorse and Lenz has shown none, Cunniff pointed out.

The judge also received 76 recommendation letters submitted in Peterson’s name, including one from Iggy Azalea. After being criticized for his support of Lanez, the rapper responded: “I am not in favor of killing a single person if we can give appropriate punishment which can rehabilitate them in their place. I support penitentiary reform. Punto”
