Another new week has come and Netflix still isn’t giving the writers (or actors) on strike what they want. But they’re releasing lots of new movies and shows this week, including a new Gal Gadot movie, a new Netflix original series, and a documentary about hip-hop history.
is the first Ladies First: A History of Women in Hip-Hop, The documentary series will arrive on Netflix on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. It follows the women of style who made it what it is today, as we celebrate 50 years since its debut. It features artists such as Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, Sawtooth, Tierra Whack and Rah Digga.

This week also brings a new Netflix Original Series. Painkillers The film, starring Matthew Broderick, Uzo Aduba, Taylor Kitsch, Clark Gregg and Dina Shihabi, will be released on Thursday, August 10. The series follows the perpetrators, victims and investigators of America’s opioid epidemic.
Heart of Stone and Painkiller are coming to Netflix this week
The crime drama captures the real greed of the people selling more and more opioids, aka Purdue Pharma, and the real struggles of the people who take these drugs.

heart of stone It’s also coming to Netflix this week. The Gal Gadot film is coming to Netflix on Friday, August 11. The film stars Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan, Mathias Schweighofer, Archie Madekwe, Sophie Okonedo and Alia Bhatt. The film follows the story of an undercover agent of a secret agency trying to stop a hacker from stealing his most prized weapon. With Gal Gadot in the lead, it’s sure to be action-packed.
