Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, 42, and actress Dakota Johnson, 29, have reportedly split.

The Coldplay frontman, 42, has told friends he is single again after breaking up with actress girlfriend, 29.

They dated for 20 months and broke up after only a few weeks of talking about marriage.

A friend of the musician told The Sun: ‘There was talk of an engagement but now he says they’ve gone their separate ways, which has come as a real surprise to everyone.’

In November, there were rumors that the pair were getting serious and were later said to be considering separating.

Dakota is said to have had a good relationship with Chris. ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, as well as the former couple’s two children, Apple, 15, and Moses, 13.

She was even there when Chris joined Gwyneth on their honeymoon in the Maldives with her new husband, Brad Falchuk.
