AI recreates ‘Harry Potter’ characters in Barbie doll style Entertainment

The live-action version of “Barbie” hit theaters last week with box office records and strong results. Seeing the success of the production, the Spanish profile “No Apto Para Muggles” (Not Appropriate for Muggles in Portuguese) decided to use artificial intelligence (AI) to re-imagine characters from the “Harry Potter” franchise as dolls in the style of the character’s universe.

The main magicians of the British literary and cinematic saga were not spared. These include Harry Potter himself, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Albus Dumbledore and the villain Voldemort. In the post, Page asks, “Can you imagine what ‘Harry Potter’ characters would look like in a Barbie world?”

The “Barbie” phenomenon is real in Brazil. The pink wave hit world cinemas here last weekend, and the film was seen by 4.1 million people between Thursday and Sunday, becoming the third biggest debut in history in the country.

The longer film starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling was behind only “Avengers: Endgame” (2019), which was watched by 5.5 million people, and “Spider-Man: No Way Back Home” (2021), which had 4.5 million viewers. These numbers are from the B Movie website.

Written and directed by Greta Gerwig, the story takes place in Barbieland, a world where all versions of dolls live happily ever after in endless parties.
