strange things | new project brings new faces

“Stranger Things” is one of Netflix’s most popular series and projects in the same universe are already being planned.

A bunch of people come to mind when you think of “Stranger Things”: Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Will (Noah Schnapp), Nancy (Natalie Diers), Steve (Joe Keery), and many others.

Some of the projects in development will stray from these familiar faces, but there’s one that will leave the comfort zone. “Stranger Things: The First Shadow” is a stage play that is under production and is arriving in London’s West End in November. The Duffer brothers have already revealed that the play is canon with respect to the series’ universe. The play will not be a musical and will take place during the year 1959.

The project will follow some of the adult characters from the original series: Joyce (Winona Ryder), Hopper (David Harbour), Bob Newby (Sean Astin) and Henry Creel (Jamie Campbell Bower). Hence new faces will be roped in to bring alive these characters. As is known, the play will follow these characters as they go to school and Creel’s arrival in Hawkings.
