As I already did with the premiere of the ‘Satellite’ videoclip, it looks like Harry Styles will be looking to retrieve more songs from ‘Harry’s House’ this season. And this time they play the song ‘Daylight’, which has a video for them, which at first glance has nothing to do with the theme.
‘Daylight’ is a song that starts off very quiet, but gains strength as it progresses. Something similar happens in video clips. The set is set in a circus and begins when Harry comes down some stairs that come straight from the sky. I feel like singing when I’m down: “I’m on the roof / You’re in the seat of the plane”.
While roaming the circus (which he thinks is his own) he gets involved in everyone’s activities: ballerinas, trapeze artists, knife throwers, paisas, forzudas… until he is kicked out of the valley dressed as a bird. This is probably a reference to the poem “If I were a bluebird, I would fly to you”. And when it seems that everything has already been tried, he balances on the rope and gets on the little rebellious horse.
Of course, the same video director, Tanu Muino, recognizes the artist’s talent on his social networks: “Harry, there is nothing you can’t do”. Many have already worked with Harry Styles on projects like ‘As It Was’ and with artists like Cardi B, The Weeknd, Lil Nas X and Doja Cat.
