The 2023 BET Awards will be presented on Sunday (June 25) night.
Six awards were distributed during the televised ceremony, including one for Lato as Best Female Hip Hop Artist and another as Best New Artist for Coco Jones, who was present to receive them. Teyana Taylor’s mother, Nikki, accepted the award for her daughter and even called her via FaceTime during the live broadcast to tell her who had won Video Director of the Year.
Of the 15 trophies awarded outside the Chamber, the most notable draw: Renaissance by Beyonce and SOS Dee SZA was both nominated for Album of the Year, while Chris Brown and Usher were nominated for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist.
