In the complex setting of 1944 Spain, the film introduces us to the young and adventurous Ophelia, who finds herself caught up in a world of danger and magic. After her ailing mother is married off to a ruthless army officer, the girl takes refuge in an ancient labyrinth, where she encounters a mythical creature known as Pan Faun. He then tells Ophelia that she is a long-lost princess and has the opportunity to become immortal.

However, in order to achieve this immortality, he must face three dangerous and extremely important tasks. Inspired by the creatures and her ancestral wisdom, Ophelia embarks on a journey whole trip of challenges and sacrifices. Each task she faces is a testament to her courage, compassion, and determination as she fights to protect innocence and maintain her identity amidst the chaos.

Directed by Guillermo del Toro, this work combines elements of dark fantasy with the brutal reality of the Spanish Civil War.

2. The Spiderwick Chronicles

5. Howl’s Moving Castle
