Last week, Zane Lowe spoke out against the issue of items being touched by performers at concerts. He told his listeners on his Apple Music Radio show that it takes “guts” and “real vulnerability” for artists to perform in front of thousands of people.
“There is no good intention to do this. There’s nothing like it,” Lowe explained the thinking behind throwing objects on the show. “You can’t justify it.”
Sharing the clip on TikTok, he wrote: “It’s simple, the ticket ‘object throwing’ does not confer the privilege.
“If we want to continue to enjoy our favorite artists performing live in a face-to-face environment, we need to stop making an issue of the need for contact. Do not do non-sense.”
Elsewhere, Adele asked the audience at another ‘Weekends with Adele’ concert last week if they had taken the opportunity to visit the Titanic at the bottom of the ocean.
Singer also said that the fatal explosion of Oceangate’s Titan ship was “very sad and sad”.
