AMD RX 7800 XT Faster than the RTX 4070 Ti?

Some specifications of the RX 7800XT seem to know each other thanks to the recent launch of the graphics card Radeon Pro W7800which they speculate would use the same GPU as the RX model.
AMD RX 7800 XT Faster than the RTX 4070 Ti?
The recently launched Radeon Pro W7800 seems to be giving a clue as to the specs and estimated performance of the RX 7800XT.
Recently, AMD introduced the Radeon Pro W7800 graphics card for the professional sector. This GPU uses a GPU ship 31 ‘RDNA 3’ with some 4480 shaders and 70 compute units. This GPU has about 32 GB of GDDR6 memory with a capacity of 64 MB (Infinity Cache). The memory interface is 256 bits and the bandwidth it offers is 576 GB/s. Of course, it is a Navi 31 cut down for the occasion.
According to the speculations of ASCII.jpthis GPU model is the one that would give life to the RX 7800XT. This is entirely possible, as the Radeon Pro series typically uses the same GPUs as Radeon graphics cards for gaming. In general, Pro models come with a higher amount of VRAM memory compared to gaming models.
If this is the case, AMD would be repeating the play of the RX 6000 series, when the RX 6800 used the same GPU (Navi 21) as the RX 6900XT, but cropped. Thus, it is possible for the 7800 XT model to use the Navi 31 GPU and the RX 7700 to use the Navi 32 silicon, as was the case with the RX 6700 XT with the Navi 22 GPU.

In terms of performance, the RX 7800 XT is estimated to be slightly above Nvidia’s RTX 4070 Ti., with a memory capacity of 16 GB of VRAM. What we don’t know here is if AMD will announce 7800 XT and 7800 models. The latter could have 60 CUs and 3840 shaders.
The possible price of the RX 7800 XT, according to ASCII.jp, would be $649, while the RX 7700 XT would be priced at $449. Pricing would be quite competitive considering the RTX 4070 Ti is priced at $799 MSRP. We will keep you informed.
