Tears of the Kingdom on March 28
2023 has started with great video game releases and there are still many highly anticipated, but without a doubt the one that has generated the most hype is The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which will arrive on May 12, 2023 on the Nintendo Switch. The launch is getting closer and for this reason Nintendo announced a new mini direct dedicated to Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom with Eiji Aonuma as host.
Although it was not advertised as a “Mini Direct”, the format that Nintendo will use for its next special broadcast is the same and this time it will be presented by Eiji Aonuma, the producer of The Legend of Zelda series for Nintendo. In his announcement, Nintendo says that the stream will consist of about 10 minutes of gameplay from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, so we expect to see new gameplay mechanics.
The new mini direct of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will take place tomorrow Tuesday March 28, 2023 at 7:00 am PT / 9:00 am CDMX, and will be broadcast through the official Nintendo channel on YouTube. No further details have been released at the moment, but luckily we won’t have to wait long to see more about the highly anticipated sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Although few details are known about The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, everything indicates that it will be the next jewel of the Nintendo Switch and last month we reported that its official page mentions DLC, so it could have additional content later. In the meantime, we hope tomorrow’s Mini Direct gives us a glimpse into what makes this sequel unique, as we’ve only seen a few new mechanics in passing so far and it would be nice if Aonuma would describe them in detail.
Remember that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will arrive on the Nintendo Switch with a price of $70 USD, the first Nintendo title with this price. However, a few weeks ago Doug Bowser, the president of Nintendo of America, defended the price of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, saying that it is justified by its content.
