Madrid in Game brings ‘eSports’ closer to more than 120 students

The Municipal Junior Esports League will crown its champion in the face-to-face grand final, which will be held between June 23 and 25 at the Esports Center of the Madrid Video Game Campus, the organizers have reported in a statement.
Over the next few months, the students from Madrid will face each other in the municipal league and will seek to win two top-level titles: League of Legends, the team strategy game developed by Riot Games, in which two sides of five champions face off to see who destroys the other’s base first; and Rocket League, Epic Games’ multiplayer soccer game interspersed with chaotic vehicles, easy controls, and fluid, physics-based competition.
SEVEN ONLINE CONFERENCES
The Junior Esports Madrid Municipal League, which began on March 12, will have a qualifying phase, made up of seven competitive days in online format, which will be played every Sunday until April 30.
The best teams from both games will qualify for the competition playoff, which will take place between May 7 and June 25: quarterfinals (May 7), semifinals (May 14) and face-to-face grand final ( from June 23 to 25).
The winners in League of Legends and Rocket League will share a prize of 2,500 euros in computer equipment, which will be used to digitize the classrooms of their educational centers.
