Mexico City, March 20, 2023 – Ubisoft announces, in partnership with BLAST, details about this year’s first BLAST R6 Major, which will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark from April 24 to May 7. There will be 24 teams gathered in a new competition format, which will have an audience in the final phase and will distribute a total prize of US$750 thousand.

With the start of the first stage of contention in the nine regions of the competitive circuit, the teams have already begun the race to secure a place in the BLAST R6 Copenhagen Major, which will have an audience in the final phase of the competition in Forum Copenhagen, in the heart of the Danish city. In addition to fighting for the title, the teams will go to the Nordic country to score points in the search for qualification for the Six Invitational 2024, which will take place in Brazil.

The current configuration of the tournament consists of three phases, with the following dates:

  • Phase 1: April 24-27 – not open to the public;
  • Phase 2: from April 29 to 3 – not open to the public;
  • Phase 3: May 5-7: Open to the public at the Copenhagen Forum.

The BLAST R6 Major is one of the biggest international esports events on the calendar and will be Siege’s first full-scale event in Copenhagen. The second BLAST R6 Major of 2023 will take place in November in the United States
