Jensen Huang wants to be CEO of NVIDIA for another 30 or 40 years…and then continue as a robot?

Few of Silicon Valley’s great CEOs have been around as long as JEnsen Huang at the helm of NVIDIA. Everyone we remember is already dead or retired, like Andy Grove (Intel), Jerry Sanders (AMD), etc. However, it seems that Jensen Huang has made a deal with the devil and continues to rule the Graphzilla company as from the beginning.
What’s more, in some statements made during an interview for CNBC, just before the GTC’23 opening speechHe has assured that he wants to continue for at least 30 or 40 more years…
The fireproof Jensen Huang, CEO of eternal NVIDIA
Jensen Huang was one of the co-founders of NVIDIA Corporation when it was founded on April 5, 1993. Jensen was a Taiwanese electronics engineer who previously worked at LSI Logic’s CoreWare and as a microprocessor designer at AMD. He, along with a former Sun Microsystems engineer named Chris Malachowsky, and a former IBM/Sun Microsystems engineer named Curtis Priem, created this company from scratch and transformed it into what it is today.
Jensen Huang is not only one of the CEOs who has been leading a company for the longest time, he is also on the Forbes list as one of the 100 highest paid in the US. He is currently the 59th richest person in the world, with a net worth of of 23,500 million dollars.
Since his inception at this company, Jensen Huang has maintained a leadership to make NVIDIA one of the leading technology companies in this industry, and the undisputed leader in graphics technology, GPGPU acceleration and AI. And it seems that he has taken a liking to it, because he doesn’t want to let go of his command for anything in the world…
30 years as a well-paid NVIDIA CEO have earned him a good fortune, but he wants more. In an interview, Jensen Huang said that wants at least another 3 or 4 decades. That would be reaching 90 years as CEO of NVIDIA.
Here you can see the interview excerpt, with some humor From Jensen Huang:
Katie Tarasov (CNBC) : You’re the longest-serving tech CEO, is there an end in sight?
Jensen Huang (NVIDIA) : Well, as you can see, I’m still cheerful and quite enthusiastic and energetic. I am surrounded by amazing people, who keep me inspired and feel like we can do great things together and give me a lot of confidence in what we can do and the impact we can have. I think I’m making a real contribution to the company to create an environment where we can make really incredible contributions. So I think as long as I think I can do that, I don’t know exactly how long that will be, but I would say 3 to 4 decades. After that it would be robot to reach 3 or 4 more decades after that. I hope I can enjoy this for a long time.
In addition to this, during the interview for the American network CNBCHe has also spoken on other topics. For example, Jensen Huang has commented on the changes in the GPU market in recent months, such as the stagnation in the sale of gaming graphics, the available stock for supply chains, etc. He has also commented that he is looking forward to seeing future GPUs manufactured in more advanced nodes…
