Yankees struggle to get rid of Aaron Hicks and Josh Donaldson

The New York Yankees have been unable to find buyers for third baseman Josh Donaldson and outfielder Aaron Hicks. Former MVP veteran Donaldson played great third base in the Bronx, but his patented bat speed is a question at 37 years of age.
Donaldson’s presence and pay were one of the reasons why Carlos Correa could not work for them. The Mets might like to find a taker for James McCann and Darin Ruf, good players before they came to Queens:
The Yankees wanted to bring Andrew Benintendi back, but not at the age of five. Joshua Adam Donaldson, 6-foot-1, had a rough time in his first year in New York. He hit .222 with 15 home runs and 62 RBIs in 132 games and 546 at-bats.

For his part, Aaron Michael Hicks, 33 years old and the same height as his former partner, has been on the “street of bitterness” for four years with NYY. Since 2018 he hasn’t hit .250. This year he hit .216 with eight drives and 40 RBIs in 130 games and 453 at-bats. What will be the next club for both of them or do they stay in New York?
