After learning about the report presented by the International Federation of Professional Football Associations (FIFPro) on the condemnation of the Iranian player for having demonstrated in favor of women’s rights, the historic Colombian striker Radamel Falcao spoke in favor of the Iranian athlete .

“This is unacceptable,” El Tigre wrote through his Twitter account, citing the publication of the federation in which it was reported that the government of the Asian country sentenced the soccer player to death for promoting protests in favor of the women of his country. , who have historically been oppressed, even more so with the current dictatorship.

“FIFPro is shocked and disgusted by reports that professional footballer Amir Nasr-Azadani faces execution in Iran after campaigning for women’s rights and basic freedoms in his country,” the statement said. through social networks and several renowned players also shared to support Amir.

In another fragment of the document, FIFPro demanded the lifting of the footballer’s death sentence: “We stand in solidarity with Amir and ask for the immediate removal of his punishment.”

This is not the only case by the Iranian government in recent days. The wrestler Majid Reza Rahnavard was also sentenced to death for the same reason as the soccer player, but in his case the punishment became effective, as the athlete was publicly hanged.

After being deprived of his freedom and imprisoned for three weeks after his participation in protests in Tehran, the wrestling practitioner was brought to trial, which he lost for not having any kind of guarantees, current legislation did not allow him to have a defense legitimate. The athlete was hanged in the street of Mashad, a city located about 900 kilometers east of Tehran, generating the outrage of the international community.

The European Union ruled on this situation and confirmed that it would impose more economic sanctions until the dictatorship of this country stops committing these systematic murders and human rights violations.

International media have also reported that the Iranian government has executed two citizens in public due to the recent protests. The ruling party argued that the victims had been previously convicted after attacking Iranian police officers.

The two young men were arrested during the demonstrations caused by the death of Mahsa Amini on September 16, a 22-year-old Iranian woman who died after being arrested by the morality police, in charge of spreading the culture of decency and the hijab.

The player who is on the international radar thanks to voices like those of a world reference like Falcao, currently plays as a defender for the Iranjavan club in his native country, in his beginnings he played for Rah-Ahan, with whom he made his official debut in the Premier League of Iran and has already been called up by his national team in the under-16 category.
