Miami is the best city in the United States to live and work, according to a global survey of emigrants

Around the world people agree that Miami it is the best city of USA for foreigners to live and work. At least that’s what a recent study by the global expatriate community indicates. InterNationswhich has more than 4.5 million members worldwide.
The survey was carried out among 12,000 people who live outside their place of origin, who were asked about their levels of satisfaction in five main categories: quality of lifeeasy to install, personal financeeconomic stability and basic issues for expatriates such as access to a digital life, options for living placelanguage limitations and administrative issues.
85% of expatriates in Miami said they were satisfied with their lives in general: a high number compared to the 71% of expatriates in general, globally, who expressed satisfaction.

The highest ratings from expat Miami residents highlighted how easy it is to adjust to life on the spot, how open it is to the local culture, access to fast internet, the possibilities of being able to pay cashless everywhere and how easy it is to open a bank account as a foreigner. The other notable point was the strong local economy and the Job opportunities that are presented in the main city of the south of the Florida. In addition, they underlined the wide cultural offer of the city and the possibilities of entertaining the fresh air.
As negative points of their adopted city, almost all of them agreed on the lack of public transport and the very high price of Health insurance (a recurring criticism in all American cities where the study of InterNations). Many also complained about the high cost of living.

In this way, Miami was ranked number 12 in the ranking, being number 1 in the United States. Among the top 50 cities chosen by expats, the second US city to appear is New Yorkin position 16.
Expatriates from New York highlighted the diversity of the great metropolis, the cultural offer, the practically unlimited job possibilities and how open society is to receiving foreigners. As negatives, the high cost of living, the expensive access to medical coverage and the growing insecurity stand out.
The city chosen as the number 1 in the world for expatriates has been Valenciain Spain, noted for its high quality of life. They followed Dubai and the Mexico City.
