The owner of Twitter and CEO of Tesla, Elon Muskwas displaced as the richest person in the world, after buying the social network, according to Forbes.

The executive director of LVMH, parent company of the Louis Vuitton brand, heads the ranking of billionaires prepared by the aforementioned magazine, with a personal wealth of 185.4 billion dollars.

Musk has a net worth of $185.3 billion. To acquire Twitter he sold part of his stake in Tesla. The purchase was for 44 billion dollars.

The fortune Musk’s is largely tied to Tesla stock, which has lost 57 percent of its value since the start of the year.
