The American country music singer Jake Flint has died unexpectedly at the age of 37, just a few hours after getting married, local media reported this Wednesday.
No cause of death has been determined for Flint, who passed away last saturday in his sleep, a few hours after celebrating their wedding, confirmed their manager Clif Doyal.
“He wasn’t just a client, he was a dear friend and a super nice guy,” Doyal told The Oklahoman. ”He was a people person and had an incredible sense of humor. She made everyone laugh and made them feel welcome. He was an ambassador for Oklahoma Red Dirt,” a genre of music created in the state where Flint was born and raised, he added.
On Tuesday, Flint’s widow, Brenda, shared a very emotional post on her Facebook profile.
“We should be going through the wedding photos, but instead I have to choose the clothes to bury my husband”, wrote. “People are not meant to feel that much pain. My heart is gone and I really need it back. I can’t take much more. I need it here,” she added.
The musician mike hostywho performed Saturday at the singer-songwriter’s wedding, recalled that Flint had “a big heart”.
And Flint’s former manager and friend, Brenda Cline, also paid tribute to the late singer, noting that she “I loved him like a son”while announcing on social networks that he died when he was preparing to undertake new projects.
”We were about to go into business together after he and Brenda got married, which was yesterday. Yes, yesterday. Jake has a million friends and I’m not sure how they will all cope with this tragic loss,” she explained.
Flint has released four studio albums in his career, beginning with his 2016 record “I’m Not OK.” He was also named Emerging Artist of the Year at the We Are Tulsa Music Awards in 2018, according to Entertainment Weekly.
