Even though we’re only just getting closer to Hell in a Cell, WWE has been focused on anticipating their July and August Premium Live Events as their next major events. The most striking will be Money in the Bankwhich would originally take place at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada (a few kilometers from Las Vegas) with a capacity of 65,000 spectators.
However, news portals close to WWE have stated that the company will not hold this PLE in the previously anticipated venue. PWInsider has confirmed that WWE opted to move Money in the Bank 2022 out of Allegiant Stadium. The event is still scheduled for July 2, but will emanate from the MGM Grand Garden Arena a few kilometers from the previous enclosure. This change represents a drop of almost 74 percent of the available capacity for the Premium Live Event
The MGM Grand Garden Arena has a capacity of 16,800 spectators, and has been used on previous occasions by wrestling companies such as AEW and WCW. WWE has not provided an official reason for this change.but portals like WrestleVotes have commented that bringing Money in the Bank to a large capacity venue was initially seen as a bad idea. WWE has removed all information related to Allegiant Stadiumincluding the advertisement starring Cody Rhodes that circulated on social networks and television.
In summary, WWE Money in the Bank 2022 will take place on Saturday, July 2 from the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will coincide in date and time with one of the main UFC shows, so a change of day to the following Sunday is not ruled out. Fans will be able to use their already purchased ticket to enter a pre-sale at the new venue. The official announcement of the event billboard is expected in the coming weeks.
