Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard: Johnny Depp Says His Response Was “Laughing” After Seeing Feces On His Bed After Fight

Johnny Depp described how he saw a photo of feces on his bed days after a fight with Amber Heard, during his court testimony.

The defamation trial between Depp and Heard began on Monday, April 11, in Fairfax, Virginia, following a lawsuit by the actor against his ex-wife filed in March 2019. Depp argues that Heard defamed him in an op-ed published in December 2019. 2018 in Washington Post titled “I spoke out against sexual violence and faced the wrath of our culture. That has to change.”

Depp said that he did not see Heard between April 22 and May 21, 2016, as he had “received certain news that was equally absurd, grotesque and cruel, and then they showed me a picture of what the problem was.”

When Heard was out of town, Depp wanted to go to the penthouse where the actress was staying to pick up some important items for him, but his security guard told him it wasn’t a good time.

He said he was shown a photo of “our bed, and there was human fecal matter on my side of the bed, so I understood why it wasn’t a good time to go.”

Depp commented that his “initial response” was “laugh”.

“It was so out of place, it was so strange and grotesque, that I could only laugh,” he added.

In her 2018 article, Heard wrote that “like many women, I was sexually harassed and assaulted when I was of college age. But I kept quiet, I did not expect to file complaints to do justice. And I didn’t see myself as a victim.”

“Then, two years ago, I became a public figure representing domestic abuse, and I felt the full force of our culture’s anger against women who speak out,” she added.

Although Depp is not mentioned in the text, his legal team argues that it contains a “clear implication that Mr. Depp is a domestic abuser”, which they say is “categorically and demonstrably false”. The actor is seeking compensation of “not less than $50 million.”

Heard has filed a $100 million counterclaim against Depp for damages and immunity from his charges.
