A gift that was not what others thought and that generated a very uncomfortable car trip for two Hollywood celebrities.
Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland star in the movie “Uncharted” -which opens in Chile this month-, which brought them together not only on the recording set.
In conversation with Access Hollywood, the star of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” (2021) recalled when his partner, 50, gave him a massage gun after a work meeting, a gift he mistook for a massager of “self-pleasure”.
“Mark Wahlberg was kind enough to give me a massage gun after I left his house in Los Angeles and took me back to my hotel (…) I was confused as to what kind of massage gun this was, I had never seen one before, and I thought it was kind of self-indulgence,” Holland said.
The interpreter of Peter Parker also joked with the fact that his colleague has taken him back to his temporary home. “I didn’t know you, it’s Hollywood, baby. Who knows what’s going to happen?” he said.
“I can’t believe the whole time you were thinking that. You’ve got to get your head out of the gutter, man,” Wahlberg replied.
Even the “Ted” (2012) actor shared a video laughing at Holland and his thoughts on the “particular” gift.
“For muscle recoverynothing more,” he said.
