The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton and Prince William, are not only one of the most beloved royal couples, they have also become Hollywood-style celebrities, as they are present at the best and exclusive events of the seventh art.
Last September they attended the premiere of Daniel Craig’s latest film as James Bond, No Time to Die, where they paraded down a long and crowded red carpet installed at the legendary Royal Albert Hall in London.
And they repeated that experience again by being the guests of honor at the premiere of Top Gun: Maverick, the new movie starring Tom Cruise, a sequel to the film that made him successful.
According to People magazine, the dukes were properly invited by the actor, who had heard that Prince William was a fan of the original 1986 film.
At this event they also met with other cast members, as well as senior executives from the film studios and the film’s director, Joe Kosinski.
The Duchess of Cambridge look
For this event, as expected, the Duchess of Cambridge captured the attention of international lenses with her stunning look.
Kate Middleton arrived at London’s Leicester Square in a fitted dress that highlighted her slender and shapely figure.
It was an elegant look signed by Roland Mouret, in black with a white bardot neckline, which she combined with black Prada shoes, an Alexander McQueen clutch bag and long diamond earrings by Robinson, which were her single accessory.
It seems that this clever outfit has become the wild card of other stylish royals, such as Máxima de Holanda, who in 2017 wore the same dress at the opening of the Concertgebouw orchestra season.
Tom Cruise and his relationship with the British royal family
Actor Tom Cruise, who has won three Golden Globes throughout his career, is no stranger to the British royal family.
In 2017 he had a meeting with the late husband of Queen Elizabeth II, Philip of Edinburgh, during a dinner to celebrate the 75th anniversary of The Outward Bound Trust at Buckingham Palace.
He also rubbed shoulders with Prince William’s mother, Diana of Wales, in 1992 at the premiere of the film Far and Away. At this event, Cruise attended with his ex-wife Nicole Kidman. They also attended the princess’s funeral in 1997.
