Fast X: Scott Eastwood in the cast of the film

Scott Eastwood was welcomed back into the Fast Family with a role in Fast X, the tenth film in the series. According to THR, the actor, who most recently appeared opposite Jason Statham in Wrath of Man and the Amazon ensemble comedy I Want You Back, has officially joined the cast of Fast X. Eastwood will reprise his role as Eric Reisner / Little Nobody in the next movie. He first appeared as Little Nobody in 2017’s The Fate of the Furious, working as a law enforcement officer with Kurt Russell’s Mr. Nobody.

The cast of Fast X

The casting of Scott Eastwood comes a week after Titans and Reacher star Alan Ritchson joined the film as one of its villains. Other newcomers include Aquaman’s Jason Momoa, Captain Marvel’s Brie Larson, and The Suicide Squad’s Daniela Melchior. Vin Diesel, who plays Dominic Torretto in the Fast and Furious franchise, had already announced that: “We have great additions to the cast that will make this episode really, really, really exciting.”

At the moment, no details have been revealed about the plot of Fast X. It is also unknown whether Russell will return as Mr. Nobody alongside Eastwood’s Little Nobody in the film. Russell was introduced as Mr. Nobody in 2015’s Furious 7 and briefly appeared in 2021’s F9 aboard a plane that ended up crashing in an unknown location, leaving Mr. Nobody’s fate ambiguous.

The returning cast of Fast X includes Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Charlize Theron. In addition to Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang and Michael Rooker. While unconfirmed, John Cena and Cardi B are also expected to return, reprising their F9 roles as Jakob Toretto and Leysa respectively. Fast X is currently filming in London. The release of the film in theaters is scheduled for May 19, 2023.
