Looks like the Migos may have a bit of “Straightenin ‘” to do – pun intended! Ever since the hip-hop music trio hit the scene in 2008, fans have been in awe of their art. The group is known for creating trap music with a dose of mumble rap that changed the genre and influenced their ever-growing fan base. Thanks to Migos hit songs including “Versace”, “Bad and Boujee”, “Stir Fry” and more, the group has been a mainstay of hip-hop for more than a decade.

However, it appears that problems may loom within the group.

Hip-hop fans know that bands rarely stay together. While Migos have all released solo projects, the group has always teamed up to make music. However, social media has spoken that the group may go their separate ways forever.

So, did the Migos disband? Here’s everything we know.

Will hip-hop lose another best-selling group? According to social media users, this could be the case with Migo. According to Hypebeast, Twitter user @Kurrco noted that Offset and Cardi B have unfollowed both Takeoff and Quavo. It’s unclear when the hip-hop couple pressed the Unfollow button, but the Twitter user shared the reveal on the platform on May 18, 2022.

Keep in mind that celebrities don’t follow each other all the time. So, that doesn’t necessarily mean the trio are currently at odds with each other or with just one person. Not to mention, some artists tend to unfollow or change the aesthetics of their social media pages before posting a new project.

In other words, it’s best not to jump to conclusions.

On May 18, 2022, Quavo took to Instagram to share the cover of his single with Takeoff titled “Hotel Lobby”. The song will come out under the nickname of Unc and Phew, which pays homage to their family ties. In case you’ve been out of business, Quavo is Takeoff’s uncle.

“Hotel Lobby” will be released on Friday 20 May 2022.

However, it has not been confirmed whether the single will launch an album for the couple. But if the Atlanta MCs finally decide to do a project together, it shouldn’t be a problem. After all, all the Migos have been working on their own projects over the years. Hence, two of the three pairs together shouldn’t make a difference.

The fact that the Migos may have split is sad but it makes sense to me. It had been clear for a while that they would never make an album as good as Culture together again.

damn, is this really the end for the migos? because otherwise it would have to compensate for unfollow quavo and takeoff

But, since social media is known to be the land of all things messy, it’s no surprise that rumors of the breakup are rampant. However, only time will tell if the Migos disbanded.
