Phillip Schofield has claimed that Tom Cruise “caused chaos” at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations on Sunday (May 15).
the star of Mission: Impossible appeared at the event, which was filmed as a special for ITV as part of a program to mark Queen Elizabeth II’s 70th year on the throne.
Cruise was one of the celebrities who participated in the special, speaking with Schofield and Julie Etchingham, who acted as hosts.
During his usual appearance in this morning on Monday (May 16), Schofield recalled the uproar that accompanied Cruise’s entrance.
“He caused absolute chaos in Windsor because he decided to walk into the studio,” Schofield said.
“So the police obviously had to do some serious crowd control at the drop of a hat, but they found everyone.”
However, Schofield was effusive in his praise for Cruise, describing him as a “classy person.”
“When he did our interview, he went downstairs and met everyone, walked into the [diferentes] rooms]to meet people and made proper eye contact,” he said.
“He is a classy person.”
Another moment of the special ITV went viral after the show aired, in which the Queen was seen reacting lukewarmly to a comment by Alan Titchmarsh.
