New Delhi, Jn.Attack box office collection day 1: John Abraham’s most awaited action-packed film, ‘Attack’ hit the theaters on April 1. Directed by Lakshya Raj Anand, the film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh. In Attack, John is seen playing the role of a super-soldier.
John Abraham is a one-man army to save the nation in ‘Attack’ – Part 1. The film had a slow start at the box office as it is facing heavy competition from Jr NTR and Ram Charan’s ‘RRR’, and Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’. According to box office reports, the film earned around Rs 3 crore on the first day of release, though the film is still expected to pick up pace over the weekend.
There is a big reason behind the cold reaction of the audience to ‘Attack’ that people are still unable to get out of the hangover of Rajamouli’s RRR. The film is also reaching close to 150 crores in the Hindi belt, it is still earning a lot at the box office amidst a tremendously positive atmosphere.
On Thursday itself, trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared with the media that the film will have a ‘single-digit opening’, and the collections will be affected due to RRR. Even Ramesh Bala said that John’s film will have a rough ride at the box office, and the film will have to face the storm of SS Rajamouli’s latest blockbuster.
The official figures of the production house have not been released yet. But if these experts are to be believed, the collection on the first day is not a good sign for the team attack. Although The Kashmir Files also did 3.5 business on the first day, Vivek Agnihotri’s film ran on word of mouth. This film has proved to be a milestone in many ways.
