Announcement of the XXII International Congress of Medicine – El Sol de la Laguna

Torreón, Coahuila.- The XXII International Congress of Medicine, alternating the activity between the facilities of the same campus and Ciudad Universitaria, as announced at a press conference by the committee headed by Daniel Franco, with the presence of Dr. Salvador Chavarría, director of the educational institution.

Other students who make up the organizing committee are Julio Pérez, Mariana Abraham, Diana García and Paola Torrero, all of whom are in charge of giving the details of the great event, in which around 750 participants are expected, of which 450 will be in person. and the rest connected virtually.

“We have the obligation to carry out a successful event, with all the protocols that have been worked on due to the pandemic issue, taking advantage of the fact that we are a Faculty of Medicine, we would like to be an example of the return to face-to-face activities. Regarding the congress, it will be developed based on a team of students, of which we are the representatives, highlighting that it is carried out with the full support of the Faculty’s management”, explained the student Daniel Franco.

There are four main areas that will be addressed in the Congress, which are: surgery, traumatology, genetics and technology in general, in an event called ‘The medicine of the future for the challenges of the present’ and in which recognized national and international speakers during the four days of activity.

For his part, Dr. Salvador Chavarría stressed that this congress represents a lot for the Faculty of Medicine, especially after a tremendous pandemic:

“It also represents a commitment, where they (students) are very aware that they are the organizers, they are the same Faculty of Medicine and we have full confidence that they are organizing a great congress, which allows the opening for the three faculties that we have in the state, Saltillo, Torreón and Piedras Negras, an invitation has been made to students from these and also from faculties from other states, so we also expect great support from the congressmen”.
