Héctor Pulido, legend of Cruz Azul, dies

Hector Pulido He passed away at the age of 79. He was a historical player of Blue Cross; she won it all with the Machine. The former soccer player had been hospitalized days before due to health problems.
With the Celestes he won every tournament he played, he was coach of the first team, where he lost a final against Chivas in the 86-87 season. He also defended the Tricolor shirt in the 1970 World Cup in Mexico, as well as in the 1968 Olympic Games.
The Michoacan was an immovable player in midfield. He contributed to the golden age of the team, where he won the league titles of the season 68-69, Mexico 70, 71-72, 72-73, 73-74 and 78-79.
The one known as ‘El Ocho Pulmones’ was invited to the 2018 Apertura final, where he took the champion trophy in the duel between Cruz Azul and América.
On January 19, 2014, Héctor Pulido was part of the celestial legends team, where La Maquina celebrated its 50th anniversary in the First Division. Some players from the squad that beat Zamora 7-1 in 1964 were present at the duel.
Javier Sánchez Galindo, Héctor Pulido, Fernando Bustos, Octavio Muciño and Cesáreo Victorino were some of the players who forged an era of Olympic titles and laps.
