Conacyt call for medical specialty in Cuba: requirements

The National Council for Science and Technology (Conacyt) announced the opening of the Call for Medical Specialties in Cuba 2021-2022, fourth periodwhich grants support to health professionals, of Mexican nationality, who wish to start a full-time medical specialty in Cubaas long as they present a Non-Criminal Record certificate, among other requirements.

Applicants must have a medical degree, Proof of doctor selected in the XLV National Examination of Applicants for Medical Residencies (ENARM) 2021 and the e-signature of the Tax Administration Service, among other documents.

Before sending the academic and administrative documents that accompany the scholarship application, Applicants must carry out the process of legalization of their Official Certificate of Qualifications of the immediately previous academic degreeand have the title or the professional examination certificate of the immediately previous degree, the non-criminal record certificate, and the health certificate obtained from the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Consulate of Cuba in Mexico.

The study programs correspond to 13 medical specialties: Pathological anatomy; General Surgery; Hygiene and Epidemiology; Medical Genetics; Geriatrics; Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine; Intensive and Emergency Medicine; Internal Medicine; Pneumology; Ophthalmology; Clinical laboratory; Psychiatry, and Orthopedics and Traumatology.

It should be considered that the reception of applications for the call began on Friday, February 11 and It will remain open until February 28, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. Central Mexico time.

An additional period is planned to deal with inconsistencies from March 1 to April 1, which allows missing or inconsistent documentation to be corrected. The results will be announced from Monday, April 11, 2022 on the institutional portal of Conacyt.

Those interested must formally express their commitment to be full-time students. and maintain satisfactory academic results and performance throughout their study program.

At the end of the validity of the scholarship and study programs, scholarship recipients must return to Mexico to contribute to the development and social welfare of the countryin accordance with the Conacyt Scholarship Regulations and current regulations.

Those who are selected will receive monthly financial support that will correspond to the table established in the call, which is available on the institutional portal of Conacyt (can be consulted here). as well as an annual complementary support for the payment of tuition and medical insurance.
