The French actress Eva Green is seen frequently in the cinema again after the end of Penny Dreadful. Most recently she shot at the side of Alicia Vikander in Euphoria, after which she got an acceptance for Roman Polanski’s latest project Based on a True Story and Chanya Buttons Vita and Virginia. Now she is in talks for one of the three adult lead roles in Tim Burton’s real-life adaptation Dumbo, How Deadline reported. She has worked with Burton on Dark Shadows and The Isle of Special Children.
The real film remake of the animated film classic Dumbo, the Flying Elephant from 1941 is Tim Burton’s second Disney adaptation after Alice in Wonderland. For the film adaptation, Tom Hanks was also previously offered a role – allegedly as a villain. Ehren Kruger has already written the script and Justin Springer will produce the film.
Dumbo is the latest in a series of Disney real-life reboots in recent times. In the middle of the month, Beauty and the Beast with Emma Watson will be in the cinema. Disney has already had great success with the last major reprints of animated films. The jungle book remake grossed $ 966.6 million worldwide last year. In 2015, Cinderella Disney grossed $ 543.5 million at the box office. In 2014, Maleficent and Angelina Jolie grossed $ 758.5 million worldwide. Tim Burton’s Disney remake Alice in Wonderland starring Johnny Depp grossed $ 1.02 billion.
