The game of hide-and-seek is finally over: Camila and Shawn dare to go to the front door together, cuddle in public and seal their love with a new tattoo.
Separation from Matthew
Camila Cabello and Matthew Hussey were a couple for 18 months before officially announcing their separation in June 2019. Fans of the musician then had their sights set on the life and dating coach, who is said to have been not entirely faithful at the beginning of the relationship and wanted to challenge him. But Cabello was one step ahead of everyone and addressed an important message to her followers: “To my fans: If you really love me, then please don’t send hateful messages to people I love and who are important to me. You do things that hurt me, and it’s so unnecessary and distressing and harmful to add more pain to pain,” she wrote down via Instagram story, adding that many people would post “hateful and insensitive stuff” via Twitter and such tweets were “really not for laughing.” “Please be kind and compassionate and sensitive and respectful. I know you love me, but everyone who does so does not respect at all the things that are sacred to me in life. The people I love and who are important to me are one of them. I would really appreciate it if you could delete any mean comment you sent, and please be kind and let it stay.”
For a really long time, Camila was not single and could fall in love with her colleague Shawn Mendes. The Canadian musician also had feelings for the pretty brunette, took a step towards her on US Independence Day – July 4 – and kissed the girl for the first time. They had kept their relationship a secret at the beginning before they released their joint single “Señorita” and a hot music video. In the end, they put the crown on the whole thing, published a funny video on the net and explained that they wanted to show with the clip that they would not “kiss like fish”. “And that’s exactly why we want to show you how we usually kiss,” the Canadian musician added…
Meanwhile, they no longer hide from their fans or lurking paparazzi, but like to go shopping together, to the cinema or to the basketball game. In November 2019, for example, they were present at a match between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Toronto Raptors at the Staples Center in the City of Angels, cuddling up to each other and exchanging caresses:
Above all, however, they made a detour to a tattoo studio shortly before the trip to basketball and both had themselves embellished by artist Kane Navasard. However, anyone who now believes that the couple has had the same picture stitched is mistaken. Instead, Mendes has the letter “A” tattooed behind his right ear, while Camila now carries the quote from “Shakespeare in Love” from 1998 – “It’s a mystery” – around on the inside of her right little finger.
And while the Canadian has several tattoos and even had fans design some works of art in the past, the “Havana” performer has dared for the first time.
