Eva Green, Vincent Cassel and Francois Civil will be involved in a remake of ‘The Three Musketeers’.
The two-part adaptation of the film is directed by French filmmaker Martin Bourboulon, in which Green, Cassel and Civil are supposed to portray the characters Milady, Athos and D’Artagnan. The first film is titled ‘The Three Musketeers – D’Artagnan’ while the second part will be called ‘The Three Musketeers – Milady’. Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de la Patelliere wrote the scripts for both films, which are based on the literary classic by author Alexandre Dumas. According to reports in the industry journal Variety, both projects will be filmed simultaneously in France this summer.
Dimitri Rassam is producing the films in collaboration with the production company Pathé, which will be responsible for the publication of the projects in France and abroad. The upcoming films will also feature actors Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Vicky Krieps and Louis Garrel on the big screen. Rassam recently admitted that he has always dreamed of filming ‘The Three Musketeers’.
