Billie Eilish shares first trailer of “Happier Than Ever” concert film

Billie Eilish recently announced not only her new album HAPPIER THAN EVER, but also the concert film “Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles”, which will premiere on the streaming platform Disney+ from September 3. Now the 19-year-old shared a first trailer of the film.

As the US magazine “Billboard” reports, Billie Eilish will perform all 16 tracks of her upcoming LP as part of the concert film – and in an intimate atmosphere on the open-air stage of the concert hall “Hollywood Bowl.” She will also be accompanied by her brother and producer Finneas as well as the “Los Angeles Children’s Chorus” and the symphony orchestra “Los Angeles Philharmonic.”.

About her upcoming concert film, Eilish wrote: “Disney is incredibly iconic, so it’s a great honor to work together on something like this. To be able to present my album in this way and to dedicate it to the city I love and in which I grew up, I find so exciting. I hope you love it.”

The film was directed by US director Robert Rodriguez and animator and Oscar winner Patrick Osborne. In addition to the performance shots, this has also provided animated film scenes that “take the audience on a dreamlike journey through Billie’s hometown of Los Angeles and its most famous backdrops.”

“Impressive world-class talent”

Commenting on working with Billie Eilish and Finneas, Rodriguez said: “They are such impressive world-class talents that it is a real honour to work with them on this film. The way the narrative story and animated pieces interweave through their incredible concert performance makes this a spectacular event that is truly unique.”
