The actor, who is known for his role as Remus Lupin in the “Harry Potter” films, has given his long-time partner the vow. With a couple picture he announced the news.
As Professor Remus Lupin, he fought alongside Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) in five parts of the book adaptation of the same name against the evil wizard Lord Voldemort – and fell in love with the Aurorin “Tonks” (Natalia Tena). In real life, David Thewlis has found his happy ending with Hermione. Of course, the French woman is not the character embodied by Emma Watson.
“It was love at first sight”
Nevertheless, this coincidence should elicit a smile from all “Harry Potter” fans. But even more joy is triggered by the latest news from the 58-year-old: David Thewlis has married his Hermione. On Instagram, the actor announced the message now with a couple picture.
Commenting on the snapshot of the two kissing in front of the bright sun, David writes: “When I first met Hermione, she wore a cherry red dress with white polka dots and smoked tobacco from a clay pipe. She told me she was the retired manege master of a traveling flea circus. I thought she was joking, but it was true. It was love at first sight. Nowadays nobody smokes anymore and the only rings are on our fingers.”
The followers of the actor are very enthusiastic, more than 50,000 times the post has already been marked with a “Like”. In the comments, the couple is showered with congratulations. “Your wonderful love story sweetened my day,” writes one user. “Lupin loves Hermione – how wonderful,” says another, alluding to the “Harry Potter” connection.
For David Thewlis it is already the second marriage. The Briton was married to his colleague Sara Sugarman from 1992 to 1994. From a later relationship with actress Anna Friel comes his now 16-year-old daughter Gracie.
