Cult film “Cursed”
Sequel is in the can and should come in 2022
It’s shot, the sequel to the fantasy comedy “Bewitched”. All the stars from part one should return as early as next year.
Great news for all fans of the fairytale romcom “Verwünscht” from 2007. 14 years after the mixture of animation and real film hit the cinemas, shooting for the sequel with the English title “Disenchanted” has been completed. Director Adam Shankman (56), who was responsible for the original, has now announced this via Instagram. To a picture that shows him hand in hand with main dart seller Amy Adams (46), he wrote: “Yours truly and Giselle … errrr …. Amy Adams would just like to tell you: it is in the can.”
Shankman also revealed the planned start date of the Disney production in his post – “Disenchanted” is to appear in 2022. So it is fitting that, according to “People”, the film’s plot should start exactly 15 years later. However, cinema fans look in the tube: The plan is therefore to publish the film exclusively via the Disney + streaming service.
All the stars from the first part are there, in addition to Adams again Patrick Dempsey (55) as New York lawyer Robert Philip, James Marsden (47) as self-loving and kind-hearted Prince Edward and Susan Sarandon (74) as Queen Narissa – Edwards evil Stepmother.
