The Harry Potter film series turned the young actors into world stars overnight. Some of them still are today, while others have withdrawn and live a quieter life. For example, what happened to Rupert Grind, who was then seen as Ron Weasley?
It has now been six years since Rupert Grind was last seen in a feature film. In 2015, Grint appeared alongside Ron Perlman in “Moonwalkers”, since then there has been no trace of the ex-“Harry Potter” star, at least in the cinema. But there is a good reason for this.
Because contrary to the assumption that the former Ron Weasley actor has withdrawn from the public, he is actually still active as an actor. Unlike his former acting colleagues Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe, Grint does not play in such well-known projects. Apple TV+ customers know that Grint is part of a successful series. “Servant” tells the story of a young couple who lose their newborn child and replace it with a lifelike doll. When the two hire a nanny to behave as if the doll were a real child, mysterious events happen.
As Rupert Grind announced in an interview regarding the third season of the Apple TV+ series “Servant”, he feels more comfortable on TV than in the cinema. Similar to Harry Potter, a longer format gives him the opportunity to develop his played character and let him grow. “Servant” is a good series for it, the unusual long episodes and the good quality are perfect for him.
Since November 2019, the mystery series “Servant” has been running on Apple TV+. The third season has now been filmed and will be released soon.
