American supermodel Kendall Jenner missed her photo shoot. Now she is being sued by the Italian fashion label Liu Jo.
The most important in a nutshell
- The 25-year-old is being sued for $1.8 million.
- She is said to have repeatedly failed to appear for a photo shoot.
- The fashion label Liu Jo has lost a lot of money as a result.
Supermodel Kendall Jenner, 25, is being sued for $1.8 million by Italian fashion brand Liu Jo. According to Page Six, the “Keeping up with the Kardashian” star slipped the second of two planned photo shoots. A fee of 1.5 million dollars was planned for the two dates. Of which Jenner is said to have already received 1.35 million dollars.
The first photo shoot took place in July 2019 for the fashion label’s spring/summer campaign. The second appointment was planned for March 2020, but the supermodel could not realize this date due to the corona pandemic. The two parties decided to postpone the date to the autumn. But Kendall Jenner also did not attend the photo shoot, which was postponed to the autumn.
Kendall Jenner no reasonable alternatives proposed
As Liu Jo claims in her indictment letter, they tried to find various alternatives for a new date. “Jenner has repeatedly failed to give Liu Jo definitive answers to her proposals. In addition, Jenner did not propose any reasonable alternatives and ultimately rejected all bona fide compromise offers from Liu Jo.” This is in the indictment letter of the Italian fashion brand.
The model agency of Kendall Jenner denies the allegations: “This lawsuit is unfounded. The Society Management Team has constantly offered Liu Jo alternative dates and locations on behalf of Kendall Jenner. This was to fulfill an agreement that had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Jenner has willingly offered to fulfill her commitments.”
Liu Jo had to restructure the whole campaign because of the model, which cost the fashion label a lot of money.
