In September, Amazon Prime Video presents the musical flick Cinderella, originally produced for the cinema, with pop star Camila Cabello in the title role. Now a brand new trailer for the musical has been released.
On September 3, the new film “Cinderella” on Amazon Prime Video. The streaming service had bought the musical in May from Sony, who originally wanted to bring it to the cinema (we reported). The main role is played and sung by Cuban pop star Camila Cabello, best known for her “Havana“-Song. Now a new preview video appeared.
The film was written and directed by Kay Cannon (“Pitch Perfect“). The cast also includes Idina Menzel (“Frozen“) and Emmy Award winner Billy Porter (Pose), as well as Minnie Driver (“Good Will Hunting“), Nicholas Galitzine (“The Craft: Legacy“), James Corden (“Cats“, “The Prom“) and even Pierce Brosnan (“Mamma Mia!“). Corden probably also contributed to the script and has also become significantly active as a producer.
Musically, the new “Cinderella“-Stripes from modern pop songs of contemporary stars as well as from new compositions by Cabello and Menzel together. One promises a “bold new approach” to the classic fairy tale material. The heroine is described as an ambitious young woman whose dreams are bigger than the world. With her boyfriend Fab G (Porter) she wants to realize her dreams…
