As part of the “Jungle Cruise“PhD was interviewed by film producer John Davis Collider also about Taika Waititi’s (What We Do in the Shadows, “THOR: Ragnarok“) Written”Flash Gordon“Project that has been under development at Disney for two years and has been traded as an animated film since 2019.
Davis: “Taika is writing on it. The movie had a huge influence on him growing up. It’s one of his favorite films. Originally he said to me, ‘let’s do it animated’ and I said ‘okay’. Then we worked on it, we started developing it and he said, ‘No, let’s turn it into live action’ and I said, ‘So much the better’.“He continues:”He has the most fantastically interesting vision for this film. You can tell immediately that it is from Taika. He’s good at that. It’s the way he looks at the world. He’s the greatest guy in the world and he’s the funniest guy in the world. He thinks on another level. And this film reflects everything that makes Taika and his vision special. In a very interesting way, it refers back to the original version from the comics.”
It is not yet clear whether Waititi will take a seat on the director’s chair after the writing process, but the chances are good and it is also a wish from the producer side. Before that, however, his Marvel film “Thor: Love and Thunder“Come out and also a”StarwarsThe sought-after filmmaker should direct the film.
