We have already talked about it reportedthat in the German retail trade for August 19, 2021 a publication with the title “Oh cruel world” or a “Disney Movie Novelty” (without date) and suspected that this is the release of the new Craig Gillespie feature film “Cruella” (USA 2021). Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has now confirmed our assumption with an official video clip: The prehistory of the villain Cruella de Vil from the cartoon “101 Dalmatians” (USA 1961) is on said date on Blu-ray as standard edition and on Ultra HD Blu-ray in the Keep Case including Blu-ray in the slipcase in the trade. In the live-action adaptation, Emma Stone plays the titular heroine – or rather anti-heroine – alongside Emma Thompson, Paul Walter Hauser, Joel Fry and Mark Strong. “Cruella” has been on the streaming service since May Disney+ accessible via VIP access and will be available to all subscribers from 27 August. The physical home theater implementations will likely feature German sound in Dolby Digital Plus 7.1. At least on Ultra HD Blu-ray, the English original sound in Dolby Atmos sound. According to reports from abroad, the bonus material includes removed scenes, outtakes and featurettes. Below you can see the video clip mentioned in the news.
