Their separation was almost five years ago, but in the War of the Roses by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, there is still no peace – they are still fighting for custody of their six children. Now a US judge has ruled in favor of the 57-year-old actor.
According to court documents from Pitt’s lawyers, which the AFP news agency was able to see, the lawyer made the “preliminary decision” that the custody agreement for the couple’s six children must be changed at Pitt’s request.
In 2018, the former Hollywood dream couple had announced an amicable settlement, which is now apparently obsolete. According to US media, including »Page Six«, Pitt wants joint custody and more time with the children. More details – and which variant Jolie wants – are not known.
The court file states that the judge found that Jolie’s testimony “was not credible in many important areas.” The couple had ordered the judge after the separation privately, now the 45-Year-old is trying to have him replaced.
Jolie had filed for divorce in September 2016 – after two years of marriage and a total of eleven years of relationship. Two years ago, the couple was officially divorced.
According to media reports, Jolie was concerned about the well-being of the children because of Pitt’s cannabis and alcohol use and associated tantrums. Jolie accused Pitt, among other things, of beating one of the children on a flight from France to Los Angeles. However, the Federal Police FBI closed its investigation against Pitt for child abuse.
