In the sitcom, however, one of the girls says that Justin Bieber (26) is the donor. Another girl, on the other hand, is sure that Sel got the kidney of Demi Lovato (28). Absolutely not funny, find Selenas fans! on Twitter it hails downright hate messages for the sitcom. “This is damn disgusting and inappropriate”, is just one of countless examples. The hashtag #RespectSelenaGomez even trended on the microblogging service over the weekend.
The streaming service Peacock has already responded to the criticism. In an opinion to the Peoplemagazine it says: “We apologize. It was never our intention to Selenas To take health lightly. We have been in contact with her team and will make a donation to her charity The Selena Gomez Fund for Lupus Research at USC.”
Not at all! This is really disrespectful!
Sel’s fans shouldn’t have themselves that way. The joke was not meant to be evil!
